Development of Learning Activities by Using Brain-Based Learning to Enhance Analytical Reading Abilities of Mathayomsuksa Students
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aims to develop and find out the efficiency of learning activities by using Brain-Based Learning (BBL) to enhance analytical reading abilities of Mathayomsuksa 1 students with the efficiency criteria of 80/80, and to find out the results of learning activities by using Brain-Based Learning (BBL) by comparing the students’analytical reading abilities before and after the experiment. The sample used in this study was the students in Matthayomsuksa 1/3 studying at Sawat Rattanaphimuk School in the second semester of the academic year 2017. They were selected by cluster random sampling, consisting of 39 students from 1 classroom. The instruments used in this study were learning activities by using Brain-Based Learning (BBL) to enhance analytical reading abilities of Mathayomsuksa 1 students, and an analytical reading abilities test designed by the Thai Language Department of Mathayomsuksa 1 students. The obtained data were analyzed through the statistical procedure of means, standard deviation and t-test samples. The findings revealed that the efficiency of learning activities by using Brain-Based Learning (BBL) to enhance analytical reading abilities of mathayomsuksa 1 students was at 82.92/81.44 which was higher than the efficient of 80/80, and the results of learning activities by using Brain-Based Learning (BBL) by comparing the students’ analytical reading abilities of Mathayomsuksa 1 students after the experiment was significantly improved at the level of .05.
