THE EFFECTS OF GUIDANCE ACTIVITIES FOR SOLVING GAME ADDICTION OF YOUNG CHILDREN AND YOUTHS IN TONG FAI SUBDISTRICT MUANG LAMPANG PROVINCE ผลการใช้ชุดกิจกรรมแนะแนวเพื่อแก้ปัญหาพฤติกรรมติดเกมของเด็กและเยาวชนในเขตตำบลทุ่งฝาย อำเภอเมืองลำปาง จังหวัดลำปาง

Abstract
This research aims to develop the guidance activity for solving game addiction in young children and youths and to assess the use of these guidance activity to solve the game addition problem. By volunteer sampling, the samples consisted of 41 young children and youths in Tong Fai Subdistrict, Muang, Lampang province, who were considered additive to games by their parents. The research instruments were content analysis, interview test, behavior observation form, focus group discussion, Game Addiction Screening Test-GAST: Child and Adolescent Version, and Game Addiction Screening Test-GAST for parents. The data were analyzed by using the mean standard deviation and T-test. From the study, the guidance activity for solving game addition in young children and youths named “Adaption Change No games” was obtained. It consisted of introduction, lecturer/ assistant speaker roles, activity plan examples, and 6 activities such as “Two People” activity, “My Idol” activity, “Risk Behavior Temperature” activity, “Promise For Better Future” activity, “I Remember” activity, and “Run for the Goal” activity. After implementing this activity, the game additive behavior in the samples was decreased. The boys and girls lowered their game additive behavior accounting for 46.40 and 45.01 percent, respectively. The finding, according to before and after using the guidance activity, is different with statistically significant at .01. The mean of game addiction in young children and youths after using the guidance activity is lower than before using the activity. For assessment of the game addiction in children and youths in the follow-ups by parents, the data analysis revealed that the game additive behavior was decreased to 46.55 percent. The difference between before using the guidance activity and during the 1-month follow-ups is different with statistically significant at .01. The mean of game addiction in young children and youths after using the guidance activity is lower than that before using the activity.
