Abstract

The main objectives of the research were to synthesize the graduate thesis/dissertation for sport management, and to present the direction of graduate study dissertation development sport management. This research analyzed and synthesized contents from 41 theses/dissertations that graduated in university B.E. 2551 – 2561 and cited in Thailand Library Integrated System (ThaiLIS) Digital Collection. The tools used to collect data consisted of the questionnaires and synthesis forms. The statistics used in this research were percentage and average. The qualitative data were analyzed by using the content analysis.
The research found that;
1. The qualitative research is the majority of research methodology used for the graduate study in the sport management during the years B.E. 2551 – 2561. Moreover, the most of research theories of management about planning organization Many studies of the graduate study. The study showed;
1. Most of Graduate dissertations in Sports management during B.E. 2551 – 2561 are qualitative studies. Most of them applied theories of sports management about organizational planning at most, followed by organization administration. Furthermore, the research outcome are mostly proposed guidelines and activities.
2. Guidelines for improving graduate thesis/dissertations in the sports administration are: 1) applying new theories in the sport Management which appropriate to the management of the sports in the future; 2) developing and questing for new knowledge and universally credible research methodologies; 3) implementing innovations in the sports management in the sports organizations; and 4) utilizing the findings and output of the dissertations.
