ละครคุณธรรมในยุคแพลตฟอร์มดิจิทัล: กรณีศึกษา “กะเทยธรรม” กับเหตุผลของความนิยมในสังคมไทยร่วมสมัย

บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มุ่งวิเคราะห์ปรากฏการณ์ “กะเทยธรรม” ในฐานะประเภทเรื่องเล่าลูกผสมของละครคุณธรรมและการแทนภาพตัวละครเพศหลากหลายบนแพลตฟอร์มดิจิทัลของไทย โดยตั้งคำถามว่าเหตุใดคอนเทนต์ลักษณะนี้จึงได้รับความนิยมอย่างสูง และความนิยมดังกล่าวสะท้อนอะไรเกี่ยวกับค่านิยมและขอบเขตของการยอมรับความหลากหลายทางเพศในสังคมไทยร่วมสมัย งานวิจัยใช้การวิเคราะห์เชิงแนวคิดและการสังเคราะห์วรรณกรรมจากวัฒนธรรมศึกษา การศึกษาแพลตฟอร์ม และการศึกษาด้านเพศสภาพและเรื่องเพศเป็นกรอบในการตีความ ผลการวิเคราะห์ชี้ให้เห็นว่า ละครคุณธรรมในยุคแพลตฟอร์มควรถูกมองเป็น “ละครคุณธรรมภายใต้ตรรกะแพลตฟอร์ม” ซึ่งเรื่องเล่าเชิงศีลธรรมถูกย่อส่วน เร่งจังหวะ และจัดรูปแบบใหม่ให้สอดคล้องกับเศรษฐกิจความสนใจ ขณะเดียวกัน “กะเทยธรรม” ทำหน้าที่เป็นประเภทเรื่องเล่าผสมผสานที่นำตัวละครเพศทางเลือกมาบรรจุไว้ในโครงสร้างศีลธรรมแบบดั้งเดิม ส่งผลให้เกิดการยอมรับความหลากหลายทางเพศแบบมีเงื่อนไขมากกว่าการยอมรับบนฐานของสิทธิและความเท่าเทียม บทความนี้มีส่วนช่วยขยายความเข้าใจต่อบทบาทของประเภทเรื่องเล่าและแพลตฟอร์มในการกำหนดการเมืองของอัตลักษณ์ และชี้ให้เห็นว่าสื่อไทยยุคแพลตฟอร์มดำรงอยู่ในสภาวะก้าวหน้าเชิงภาพแทน แต่คงอยู่เชิงโครงสร้าง
