แนวคิดเรื่อง “ความหลากหลายทางเพศ” ในกระบวนทัศน์วิทยาศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์

บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้ต้องการทำความเข้าใจแนวคิดเรื่องความหลากหลายทางเพศที่ปรากฏอยู่ในกระบวนทัศน์ทางวิทยาศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ โดยจะเปรียบเทียบให้เห็นว่า กลุ่มความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ได้แก่ วิชาจิตเวชศาสตร์ และเพศศาสตร์ อธิบายความหลากหลายทางเพศจากปัจจัยทางชีววิทยาซึ่งทำให้เพศสรีระของมนุษย์ถูกจัดจำแนกเป็นเพศที่ปกติ (เพศหญิงและเพศชาย) และผิดปกติ (เพศที่มีความคลุมเครือ) ซึ่งวางอยู่บนกระบวนทัศน์วัตถุภาวะ ในขณะที่ความรู้ทางสังคมศาสตร์ ได้แก่ ประวัติศาสตร์ สตรีนิยม เควียร์ศึกษา และมานุษยวิทยา อธิบายความหลากหลายทางเพศภายใต้บริบททางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลง ซึ่งบ่งชี้ว่าความเป็นหญิงและชายมิใช่สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นเองตามธรรมชาติ แต่วัฒนธรรม คือ สิ่งที่หล่อหลอมให้มนุษย์สร้างอัตลักษณ์ทางเพศ การทำความเข้าใจกระบวนทัศน์ที่ต่างกันนี้จะช่วยให้เห็นทิศทางของความรู้เรื่องเพศในสังคมได้ดีขึ้น
