ในภาษาเกาหลี kyeolkho เป็นคำวิเศษณ์ขยายประโยคที่แสดงสถานภาพในทางลบ ใช้เมื่อผู้พูดต้องการเน้นย้ำความจริงในทางลบ หรือต้องการห้ามการกระทำของผู้ฟัง คำที่ใช้ร่วมกับ kyeolkho คือ คำาลงท้ายประโยครูปปฏิเสธ 아니다, -없다,-지 않-, -지 못-, -안- และ -지 말- คำศัพท์แสดงความหมายเชิงลบ 모르다, 어렵다,다르다, 힘들다, 만무하다, 불가능하다 และ 삼가다    

ประเภทของประโยคที่สามารถใช้กับ kyeolkho คือ (1) ประโยคบอกเล่าในรูปปฏิเสธ โดยจะใช้คำลงท้าย 아니다, -없다, -지 않-, -지 못- และคำศัพท์ 모르다,어렵다, 다르다, 힘들다, 만무하다, 불가능하다 (2) ประโยคคำถามในรูปปฏิเสธที่ใช้คำลงท้ายประโยค -겠지? แสดงว่าผู้พูดรู้ความจริงเชิงปฏิเสธนั้นและคาดคะเนความจริงนั้นอย่างมั่นใจ และ (3) ประโยคคำสั่งในรูปปฏิเสธ โดยจะใช้คำลงท้าย -안-, -지 말- และคำศัพท์ 삼가다

Abstract

In Korean language, An adverb ' kyeolkho ' is used in a negative sentence. It is used when a speaker wants to emphasize the negative fact or to prohibit an action of a listener. Kyeolkho will be used with negative ending words including 아니다, -없다, -지 않-, -지 못-, -안-, and -지 말- as well as negative meaning words 모르다, 어렵다, 다르다, 힘들다, 만무하다, 불가능하다,and 삼가다.

Types of sentences used with kyeolkho are (1) the negative declarative sentence endings with 아니다, -없다, -지 않-, -지 못- and 모르다, 어렵다, 다르다,힘들다, 만무하다, 불가능하다, (2) the negative interrogative sentence endings with -겠지? which shows that the speaker knows the negative fact and confidentially estimates that fact, and (3) the negative imperative sentence ending with -안-, -지 말- and word: 삼가다.
