THE HISTORICAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN NAKHON NAYOK PROVINCE

Abstract
This research is to study 1) the part of historical and cultural tourism 2) important components of historical and cultural tourism and 3) Historical, archaeological and cultural tourism model of Dong Lakorn City, Dong Lakorn Subdistrict, Nakhon Nayok Province. It is a mixed of quantitative research by distributing questionnaires to 400 tourists traveling to Nakhon Nayok Province. Analyzed with statistics of numbers, percentages, means, and standard deviations. The qualitative research with in-depth interviews and group discussions with executives, Member of Dong Lakorn Subdistrict Administrative Organization and community presidents or representatives in the Dong Lakorn Subdistrict area, totaling 50 people. Analyze content with interpretation to create inductive conclusions. The results of the study are summarized as follows:
- Potential for historical archaeological tourism and culture of Dong Lakorn Subdistrict. There are important historical tourist attractions. Important historical and cultural sites include Wat Maniwong, Ancient city of Dong Lakorn, Wat Dong Lakorn, group of housewives making Krayasart, Nong Hing Hai, Wat Khlong Pho, Wat Mai Bamphenphon and Wat Tha It.
- Factors suitable for historical, archaeological and cultural tourism in Dong Lakorn Subdistrict, 5 aspects are management which are cooperation, public relations, aspects of consciousness and appreciation of ancient, cultural and historical sites and the strength of the community.
- Historical archaeological tourism model and the culture of Dong Lakorn City, Dong Lakorn Subdistrict, Nakhon Nayok Province is appropriate. There are 2 forms tourism: 1. Buddhist tourism 2. Health tourism.
4. Suggestions for tourism management are: 1) good management By organizing the facilities systematically There are personnel at various points ready to answer questions and explain important places and stories. 2) Participation By allowing the community to participate in taking care of the temple. tourist attraction To give villagers a sense of ownership and increased income. 3) Publicizing tourist attractions in Dong Lakorn Subdistrict. with a variety of communications 4) creating awareness and appreciation of ancient sites, culture, history and 5) strengthening communities With a participatory process and creating a clear community identity
