The Development of a Model for Dual Vocational Education Management to Standards, Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Industrial and Community Education College

Abstract

This research’s objectives were (1) to study the context of dual vocational education management of Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Industrial and Community Education College (2) to build and to examine the dual vocational education management model to standard of Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Industrial and Community Education College (3) to try out the dual vocational education management model to standard of Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Industrial and Community Education College (4) to assess standardized dual vocational education management model of Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Industrial and Community Education College. The research methodology was mixed between quantity and quality research. For the quantity study, the purposive sampling was used to select the sample group who were 80 persons from the college’s administrators, trainers, occupational supervisory teachers, parents, and the chairmen of community committees in 8 areas of Nong Chok. For the quality study, snow ball sampling was used to select the sample group of 8 experts who were successful in dual vocational education management. The instruments which were used to collect data were semi-structure interview and focus group. The collected data was analyzed by means of content analysis. The research findings were as followed. 1. According to the standardized dual vocational education management model of Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Industrial and Community Education College, the research results were as follow : (1) Though, the college was offered the dual vocational education in high vocational diploma level for all majors, the public relation to students and their parents was not extensive. Moreover, the college was lack of students’ supervisory system. (2) As for the execution, the entrepreneurs, which were cooperated in dual vocational education, were lack of learning standard which were comprehensive and congruent with the curriculum’s competences. (3) As for to the stakeholder involvement’s supervision and the determining the role of the responsible person, there was the limitation and lack of linkage of the
fundamental data to dual vocational education management. (4) For the implementation, the entrepreneurs did not paid neither compensation nor welfare for them. Besides, there was not any guarantee from the entrepreneurs that the students would be applied as employees after graduation. (5) For the quality of the students, they did not pay attention to their own occupational modernity and progress. Therefore, they could not work effectively. Their
intellect, understanding and new data evaluation were not as good as it should be. For their interpersonal skills and responsibility, they were lack of creativity and suitable problem solving. For their critical thinking and communication skills, they could not communicate effectively. 2. There were 4 support factors for building and assessment of standardized dual vocational education management model of Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Industrial and Community Education College which were; (1) personnel of dual vocational education (2) characteristics of the administrators in dual vocational education (3) selection of academic affairs’ administrators (4) characteristics of occupational trainers and supervisory teachers. The standardized dual vocational education management model was ensured by the experts that it was useful and could be implemented efficiently. 3. According to the trial of standardized dual vocational education management model of Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Industrial and Community Education College, the specialists commented that of the model could be implemented in the real situation practically. It was the integration of theoretical knowledge to the practical implementation for new precise obvious knowledge. It could also be used to practice the dual vocational education management skills in any context appropriately. Moreover, it was affected to the enhancement of dual vocational education management standard of the college. 4. The dual vocational education management model to standard of Kanchanapisek Nong Chok Industrial and Community Education College was certified by the experts that it was the useful model and could be implemented practically and effectively.
