The Design of Accommodation for the Elders in Chiang Klang District, Nan Province

Abstract

          The aims of this project were to design the accommodation for the elders, and, to investigate the professionals’ opinions towards the design of accommodation for the elders at Chiang Klang District, Nan Province. The sample was specific selected. The 10 professionals who expertised in Architecture evaluated and expressed their opinions towards the design. The research instruments were a simulation plan designed, and, the questionnaire. The statistics used were means and standard deviation (S.D.). The results showed that in overall, the professional’ opinions were at the highest level in all items. i.e. the building was suitable for elders, the design was universal, there was the correspondence between the area and facilities for elders within the building, and, the use of technology that was corresponded to the area.
