The Learning and Teaching Management Based on Block Course of Lopburi Technical College Teaching and learning management base on block course of Lopburi Technical College.

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were 1) to study the state and necessity of learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College;  2) to create the model and handouts for learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College; 3) to make an experiment on learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College; and; 4) to investigate the results of learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College. The research procedures consisted of: Part 1: study the state and necessity of teaching and learning management base on block course of Lopburi Technical College through the analysis of documents about the knowledge of learning and teaching management based on block course, and asking 155 administrators and teachers by using purposive sampling technique; Part 2: create the model and handouts for learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College through the analysis and synthesis data gained from Part 1 and then the quality inspection of the model was made through the seminar of 9 experts who were selected by purposive sampling, as well as the evaluation of the appropriateness and possibility of the model; Part 3: make an experiment on learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College with four elements and eight small activities as planned and then results of each activity were studied.; and; Part 4: the results of the learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College were investigated through eleven teachers of auto mechanic department in the year of 2020, and 92 third-year vocational certificate students in auto mechanic. The sample groups were selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments included the analysis, questionnaire, report. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test and content analysis.

          The findings were as follows: 

1. The state and necessity of teaching and learning management base on block course was expectations at the highest level, and the actuality was at a moderate level.


2. Regarding the assessment of model quality by the experts, it was found that all the aspects i.e. the propriety, the feasibility, and the utilization were at the highest level.


3. Concerning the experiment of learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College, it was found that all the 4 aspects of planning, doing, checking and action were at the highest level.


4. The results of the learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College, were as follows:

              4.1 Regarding the students’ achievement, it was found that there was statistically a  significant difference at .01  between the first semester of the academic year 2019 and 2020, and, the students’ achievement in the academic year of 2020 was higher than the academic year of 2019.

              4.2 Concerning the teachers’ and students’ satisfaction towards the learning and teaching management based on block course, it was found that both had the satisfaction at the highest level.

              4.3 Comparing the teachers’ workload before and after using the learning and teaching management based on block course of Lopburi Technical College, it was shown that there was statistically significant difference at .01, and the teachers’ workload was reduced after using the model.

              4.4 Regarding the teacher development to professionalism (Hands on), it was found that in overall the teachers who developed to professionalism (Hands On) after using teaching and learning management base on Block Course were at the highest level.
