Management Model Development Linking Course Competencies of Vocational Education with Basic Education of PHUKET TECHNICAL COLLEGE การพัฒนารูปแบบการบริหารจัดการ การเชื่อมโยงสมรรถนะรายวิชาของการอาชีวศึกษากับการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานของวิทยาลัยเทคนิคภูเก็ต

Abstract

The objectives of the research on the development of administration model  integrating the competencies of vocational subjects and those of foundation subjects of Phuket Technical College were 1) to study the guidelines of the administration model integrating the competencies of vocational subjects and those of foundation subjects of Phuket Technical College, 2) to develop the administration model integrating the competencies of vocational subjects and those of foundation subjects of Phuket Technical College, 3) to implement the administration model integrating the competencies of vocational subjects and those of foundation subjects of Phuket Technical College, and 4) to evaluate the implementation of the administration model integrating the competencies of vocational subjects and those of foundation subjects of Phuket Technical College and its handbook. The research procedure comprised 4 steps as follows. 

1. The conclusion of the related studies about the administration on integrating the competencies of vocational subjects and those of foundation subjects was conducted by 31 administrative staffs consisting of directors, assistant directors, and heads of Curriculum Development Department from network colleges derived by purposive sampling technique. The content was summarized as the first draft of the administration model. 


2. The draft model was then validated by 9 experts in the focus group and revised the developed administration model consisting of 3 projects and one activity.


3. The implementation of the administration model and the handbook followed the 3 projects and one activity as follows. a) The project on developing the curriculum integrating the competencies of vocational subjects and those of foundation subjects; b) the project on writing a handbook for transferring the credit unit of those subjects; c) the project on encouraging teachers to achieve the potential in teaching the integrated subjects, and d) activities for transferring the credit unit of vocational subjects and foundation subjects.


4. The particular subgroup meeting was conducted to find the results of the implementation of the developed administration model.

The results revealed that: 1. the related staffs agreed with the guidelines of the administration model integrating the competencies of vocational subjects and those of foundation subjects of Phuket Technical College at the very high level. 2. The experts validated the developed administration model at the highest level. 3. The results of the implementation of the developed administration model showed that 3.1 the experts reported very high level on the development of the integrated curriculum of 15 subjects. In addition, the trainees reported very high satisfaction towards the training course. 3.2 The evaluation of the handbook by the experts was overall at the very high level similar to the satisfaction level of the trainees. 3.3 The experts reported their validation towards the teaching plans of 15 subjects at very high level. Moreover, the trainees also reported their satisfaction at the very high level. 3.4 The operators of unit credit transfer and the students were very satisfied with the activities. 4. Finally, based on the particular sub group meeting of the related staffs, the implementation of the administration model and its handbook was very high satisfaction.
