DEVELOPMENT OF THE POLITICAL ECONOMY IN VIETNAM: A CASE STUDY OF POST-DOI MOI REFORMS

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the political economy of Vietnam, focusing on the transformative period following the Doi Moi reforms of the late 1980s. It examines the interplay between political decision-making, economic policy, and the resultant socio-economic outcomes in Vietnam. By analyzing the country's transition from a centrally planned to a market-oriented economy, this study sheds light on the intricate relationship between state-led governance and economic development. Drawing upon an array of secondary sources, including research papers, academic articles, and statistical data. This article illuminated the key drivers, challenges, and implications of Vietnam's political economy in the context of its regional and global standing.
