ATTITUDES OF LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS TOWARDS VOCATIONAL EDUCATION OF SCHOOLS IN SARABURI PROVINCE

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the attitudes of lower secondary school students towards vocational education in schools in Saraburi Province, 2) to compare the attitudes of lower secondary school students in schools in Saraburi province, 3) to compare the attitudes of lower secondary school students in schools in Saraburi province that are studying in different schools. The sample group consisted of lower secondary school students in every educational institution in Saraburi province with coming from stratified random sampling by using the random sampling unit according to the population proportion, consisting of 400 people. Tools used in the study were questionnaires of learners' attitude towards vocational education. The reliability of the whole questionnaire was 0.86. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, One Way ANOVA and the pairing test with the Scheffe’s test.
The research finding were as follows :
- General information of the students from the questionnaire found that most of the respondents were female, with scores of 3.00 and above that were currently studying in Mattayomsuksa 1 as a school under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 4. The results of attitude analysis of lower secondary school students towards vocational education of schools in Saraburi province. The overall was classified according to academic performance and classified by the affiliated educational institution under with the following details :
1.1 The results of the attitude of lower secondary school students towards vocational education in schools in Saraburi Province Overall, the overall was at a moderate level. When considering each item, it was found that the most attitudes, such as workplace internships help students to have experience, followed by while students were able to find extra income and there were many vocational courses to choose. The least attitudes were vocational students who were unruly and not good at learning.
1.2 Effects of attitude of lower secondary school students towards vocational education of schools in Saraburi Province classified by academic performance, the overall was at a moderate level. Considered according to the results of the study found that the attitudes of the students with grades below 2.00 the most, followed by attitudes of learners with grades 2.00-3.00 and attitude of learners with grades 3.01-4.00 were in the final order.
1.3 The study of the attitudes of lower secondary school students towards vocational education in schools in Saraburi Province classified by affiliated educational institution, the overall was at a moderate level. Considering according to the affiliated educational institution under which it was found that the attitudes of learners under the Office of Non-formal Education and informal education and local government were the most, followed by the students' attitudes under the Office of Educational Service Area 4, the attitude of the students Learning under the Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 and Saraburi Area 2 was in the final order.
