THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LOCAL CURRICULUM ON THAI SONG DUM TRADITION AND CULTURE OF BAN DON RUAB IN PRIMARY SCHOOL LEVEL AT WATDONRUAB SCHOOL UNDER CHUMPHON PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to (1) study basic knowledge and local curriculum development on Thai Song Dam Ban traditions and culture of Ban Don Ruab in primary school level at WatDonRuab school under chumphon primary educational service area office 1, (2) assesses the appropriateness of the local curriculum on Thai Song Dam traditions and culture of Ban Don Ruab in primary school level at WatDonRuab school under chumphon primary educational service area office 1,

(3) compare learning achievement before and after learning of the local curriculum on Thai Song Dam  traditions and culture of Ban Don Ruab in primary school level at WatDonRuab school under chumphon primary educational service area office 1 and (4) compare students' attitudes before school and after school towards the development of local curriculum on Thai Song Dam traditions and culture of Ban Don Ruab in primary school level at WatDonRuab school under chumphon primary educational service area office 1. This research is a trial of using the curriculum with Prathomsuksa four students, with a population of 14 students in the second semester of the academic year 2566 at WatDonRuab school under chumphon primary educational service area office 1. The tools used to collect research data are divided into 2 types : (1) The tools used in the research include the local curriculum on Thai Song Dam traditions and culture of Ban Don Ruab and the tools for collecting data include (1) a curriculum suitability assessment form, (2) an academic achievement test and (3) a student attitude assessment form. Statistics used in data analysis include percentages, means, standard deviations and t-tests that are not independent of each other  (t-test for dependent).

The results of the research found that :

(1) Basic knowledge in local curriculum development on Thai Song Dam traditions and culture of Ban Don Ruab, There are 6 contents : 1) The history of Thai Song Dam 2) The history of Thai Song Dam of Ban Don Ruap 3) Thai Song Dam language 4) Way of life of Thai Song Dam of Ban Don Ruab 5) Thai Song Dam Traditions and rituals of Ban Don Rub 6) Thai Song Dam game of Ban Don Ruap and the 12 elements of the curriculum include 1) vision, 2) mission, 3) goals, 4) important competencies of students, 5) desirable characteristics, 6) class time structure, 7) local curriculum structure, 8) learning content, 9) Analyze learning standards and indicators, 10) course descriptions, 11) local learning content/learning units, and 12) learning management plans.

(2) Results of curriculum suitability assessments from experts. The suitability is at the very good level.

(3) The results of comparing learning achievement before studying and after studying the local curriculum, Thai Song Dam traditions and culture of Ban Don Ruab found that the population group had higher learning achievement after studying than before. The study was statistically significant at the .01 level.

 (4) The results of comparing the attitudes of students before studying and after studying the local curriculum, Thai Song Dam traditions and culture of Ban Don Ruab  found that the population group had a higher attitude towards the curriculum after studying than before studying. Statistically significant at the 0.1 level.
