The Model Of Daily Life Of The Virtue Of Lay Person Practice for Boy Scouts In Prachinburi Province

Abstract
The objectives of this thesis paper were as follows : 1) to study living a life according to Gharavasa Dhamma, 2) to study a guideline of living a life according to Gharavasa Dhamma of training participants at Boy Scout Camp in Prachinburi province, and 3) to analyze the guideline of living a life according to Gharavasa Dhamma of training participants at Boy Scout Camp at Prachinburi province. The data of this documentary research were collected from primary source and secondary source focusing on living a life according to Gharavasa Dhamma of training participants at Boy Scout Camp in Prachinburi province.
The results of research were found as follows :
- A model of living a life according to Buddhist principle was to apply it in daily life or living a life based on Buddhist principle. The Buddhist principle in practice should not be complicate. The fundamental teachings, such as to do good, receive good, to do evil, receive evil, the Five Precepts, and principle of Kamma, should be applied in daily life practice. The guideline of living is to avoid evil, to do good, and to purify the mind.
- The model of activity integrated with the principles of Gharavasa Dhamma consisted of 24 sub-activities starting from orientation, followed by making a vow, scout regulations, lining up, and giving assistances to others with a focus on 1) having virtues and characteristics according to the vow and regulations of scout, 2) having potential to develop and assist oneself and others, 3) having individual ability based on one’s skills and interests.
