DEVELOPING SCIENCE TEACHERS TO PROMOTE COMPETENCIES IN MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION OF THINKING SKILLS

Abstract
The objectives of this research were : 1) to compare teachers' knowledge and understanding of measuring and evaluating thinking skills before and after training, 2) to Study the measurement and evaluation behavior of teachers during the teaching and learning, 3) to Study the opinions of students who had to measure and evaluate the teacher after the teaching and learning. The populations were 225 teachers of science and technology learning subject under Nonthaburi Provincial Education Office, 2nd semester, academic year 2023. Examples include teachers of science and technology learning subject under Nonthaburi Provincial Education Office, teaching in the 2nd semester of the academic year 2023, which was obtained by selecting 8 volunteers. The tool consists of a cognition test, observation forms for measuring and evaluating teacher behaviors and student opinion questionnaires. Analyzing data by finding percentages, means, standard deviations, and testing hypotheses using Dependent t-test statistics.
The results were found that :
1) The teacher had a higher understanding after training than before training with statistically significant at the level of .01.
2) Teachers had measurement and evaluation behavior during the teaching and learning at a high level (x̅= 7.10, S.D. = 1.20).
