THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DIGITAL STRESS AND MARKETING PERFORMANCE OF NEW GENERATION MARKETERS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this research were : 1) to test the relationship and 2) to study the impact of technostress on the marketing effectiveness of new-generation marketers. This study employed a quantitative research design with a sample of 242 new-generation marketers, using a census of the entire population. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, multiple correlation, and multiple regression analysis.
The results revealed that :
1) Three dimensions of technostress—techno-invasion, techno-complexity, and techno-uncertainty—had a statistically significant positive relationship and impact on the marketing effectiveness of new-generation marketers at the 0.05 level. This indicates that while digital technology creates pressure, it also stimulates marketers to develop skills, learn new tools, and adapt strategies, leading to improved marketing performance.
2) Information overload did not have a significant positive relationship or impact on marketing effectiveness. This suggests that excessive information may cause confusion, fatigue, or reduced decision-making efficiency, thus failing to contribute positively to overall marketing performance.
