ก้าวย่างใหม่ในการพัฒนา: สู่สังคมแห่งความสุข

Abstract
บทความนี้แสดงให้เห็นถึงความต้องการแนวทางในการพัฒนาที่มุ่งไปสู่สังคมที่ดีขึ้นให้ประชาชนมีความสุข โดยเห็นได้จากการพยายามทาตัวชี้วัดการพัฒนาในระดับชาติใหม่จากหลายประเทศที่ผู้นาประเทศให้ความสาคัญโดยมีการทางานในเรื่องนี้ในรูปแบบที่แตกต่างกันไป แสดงให้เห็นว่ามีความเคลื่อนไหวในระดับนานาชาติมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆในระยะไม่กี่ปีมานี้ นอกจากนี้ บทความนี้ได้กล่าวถึงที่มาเรื่องความสุขในทฤษฎีเศรษฐศาสตร์ วิธีการสารวจข้อมูลเบื้องต้นและผลจากการวิจัยเรื่องความสุขจากงานวิชาการซึ่งสามารถใช้ประโยชน์ในการวางกรอบนโยบายสาธารณะได้ โดยสรุป บทความนี้เสนอให้มุ่งแก้ปัญหาความยากจนและการเข้าถึงปัจจัยพื้นฐานของประชาชน การลดช่องว่างการกระจายรายได้และความเหลื่อมล้าทางสังคม การเพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิตในมิติอื่นๆที่นอกเหนือจากเศรษฐกิจ และการดาเนินชีวิตตามแนวทางเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงและวิถีพุทธ รวมทั้งเสนอแนวคิดที่น่าจะปรับใช้ได้กับสังคมไทยในการพัฒนาความสุขในระดับสูงขึ้นบนพื้นฐานของปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงและพุทธศาสนา
