THE EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT OF WHITE SCHOOL FREE FROM DRUG AND VICES: CASE STYDY OF BAN MUANG YAI SCHOOL, PHOSAI DISTRICT

Abstract

This evaluation objectiveis to evaluate the project of white schools free of drugs and vices:  case study of Ban MuangYai School in Pho Sai District, under the jurisdiction of UbonRatchathani Primary Educational Service Area Office Area 2by using the CIPP Model. There were 3 phases of action. Phase 1 there were 2 evaluations: contextual evaluation and the factors evaluation for the implementation of the white school project Free from drugs and vices. Phase 2 it was the evaluationof processing the implementation of the white school project Free from drugs and vices. And phase 3 it was the evaluation of the productivities of the white school project Free from drugs and vices. The informant group included 12 administrators and teachers, 3 basic school committees, 41 students, and 16 network partners. The instruments consisted of an interview form, an observation form, an achievement test and 2 project satisfaction questionnaires. All of them had confidence values between 0.81 – 0.95. The data was analyzed by using percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research results as follow:

Phase 1found that the contextual evaluation result was appropriate at the highest level and the factors evaluation results the appropriateness was appropriate at the high level.

Phase 2 found that the project implementation process evaluation result was appropriate at the highest level.

Phase 3 found that the results of productivities evaluation consisted of 3 items as follows: 1) project effectiveness which was the results of 4 activities, namely the white classroom activity; the student support system activities; the creative promotion activities; and the life skills promotion activities was at the high level. 2) The students' satisfaction with the project was at the high level. 3) Satisfaction of the administration, teachers and educational personnel, basic school committees, and network partners was at the highest level in the overall.
