OUTCOME OF USING EXERCISES FOR DIFFICULT WORD SPELLING WRITING IN THAI LANGUAGE FOR PRATHOMSUKSA 2 STUDENTS

Abstract

            The purposes of this research were 1) to create and measure the efficiency of exercises for difficult word spellings written in Thai language for Prathomsuksa 2 to be efficient according to the 80/80 criteria, and 2) to compare learning achievement before and after learning with the exercises for difficult word spellings written in Thai language for Prathomsuksa 2. The sample was a group of seven students in Prathomsuksa 2 from Ban Sam Khi Lek School under Sisaket Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 in the first semester of the 2021  academic year gaining from Cluster random sampling. The research instruments included 1) 12 sets of the exercises for difficult word spellings written in Thai language for Prathomsuksa 2, 2) 12 plans of Thai language learning management on difficult word spelling written in Thai language for Prathomsuksa 2 and 3) an objective learning achievement test, 30 items with three multiple choices.  Statistics used for data analysis were: mean, percentage, standard deviation and T-test for hypothesis testing. The results found that: 1) The exercises for difficult word spellings written in Thai language for Prathomsuksa 2 had an efficiency of 90.40/87.62, which was higher than the set 80/80 criteria. 2) The students’ learning achievement after doing the exercises for difficult word spellings written in Thai language for Prathomsuksa 2 was higher than before learning with statistical significance at the .01 level.
