THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING BY MULTIMEDIA TO PROMOTE SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING ON ENVIRONMENT AND LIFESTYLE IN DIFFERENT REGIONS OF THAILAND FOR STUDENT IN PRATOM SUKSA 5 THANARATWITTAYA SCHOOL

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) create and develop lesson plan using multimedia materials on the environment and lifestyle in different regions of Thailand, in Social Studies, Religion and Culture Department for Pratom Suksa 5, Thanarat Wittaya School, Lamphun Province to reach the effectiveness standard of E1/E2 at 80/80 and 2) To compare the pre-learning and post-learning achievement with the multimedia lesson plans on the environment and lifestyle in different regions of Thailand, in Social Studies, Religion and Culture Department for Pratom Suksa 5, Thanarat Wittaya School. The samples were Pratom Suksa 5 students in Thanarat Wittaya School during the second semester in the academic year 2021, which were selected by using Purposive Sampling, 1 classroom with 18 students. The tools were 6 multimedia lesson plans, self-learning and learning achievement test. It was a 4 multiple choice test with 20 questions. The result was analyzed by the statistical methods of percentage, mean, standard deviation and the Index of Objective Congruence (IOC).

The results of this research found that

1. The efficiency of multimedia lesson plans was at 81.69/80.63 , which reached the standard at 80/80.
2. The results of data analysis to compare pre-learning and post-learning achievement after using the multimedia lesson plans, has a pre-learning average score of 7.05, a standard deviation of 1.67, and the post-learning test result has an average score of 16.88, a standard deviation of 0.92, higher than the pre-learning test average score of 9.83.
