Abstract

This article presented perspectives of testlet response theory which is characteristics of a situation test comprising a set of items for responding one stimulus. This type of test is commonly used in language and social sciences. Items in testlet could guide the answer among items within the testlet which breaks the local assumptions of item response theory. Consequently, there is necessary to reconsider parameter estimation of examinees for testlet response theory model. The researchers have been proposing multiple ways to solve the problem. This paper presented proper issues for estimating parameter of testlet test as well as research examples on parameter estimation of testlet test.
