The Development of Multimedia Lesson, Fluid in Physics Lesson, the 5th Secondary Class

Abstract

The purpose of this research were 1) to develop the multimedia lessons : fluid in Physics for mathayomsuksa five students which it based on the efficient criterion of 80/80, 2) to compare the students’ learning achievement between pre-learning and post-learning of them through  the multimedia lesson, and 3) to study the satisfaction of the students toward the multimedia lesson. The target group was a class that consisted of 32 mathayomsuksa five students in the first semester of the academic year 2012, Namkhunwittaya school, Namkhun district, Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. This class was selected by using the simple random sampling based on lottery method which the classroom was a unit of sampling.  Tools of this research were 1) 8 multimedia lessons : fluid, 2) achievement test base on  four multiple choices type, consisting of thirty items, which the difficulty index (p) were range from 0.30 to 0.67 ,the discriminant index (r) were range from 0.36 to 0.63 and the reliability index was equal to 0.91, and  3) 17 question items about the satisfaction of the students in using the multimedia lesson, which the reliability index were range from 0.60 – 0.95.  The data analysis of the research were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

The research findings were as follows :

1. The multimedia lesson : fluid in Physics got the efficient criterion of 82.30/84.38 .
2. As for the learning achievement of students between before and after they used the multimedia lessons, it was shown that their learning achievement at after using the multimedia lessons were higher than that at before using its with the statistical significant at the .05.
3. As for the satisfaction of students toward the multimedia lesson, it was shown that the students got a highest level of satisfaction.
