THE STUDY OF LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS HEALTH STUDYING OF GRADE 8 STUDENTS FOLLOWING ATCTIVE LEARNING STYLE WITH GPASS MODEL

Abstract

          This research aimed to 1) compare the achievement of pre-learning and post-learning of the students studying Health in grade 8 under the learning management following active learning style with GPASS Model, 2) study the improvement of Health learning of grade 8 students under the learning management following active learning style with GPASS Model and 3) study the attitude of grade 8 students towards Health learning under the learning management following active learning style with GPASS Model. The samples of this research were 33 students studying in grade 8/1 of Lopburi College of Dramatic Arts, Bunditpatanasilpa Institute Ministry of Culture in the 1st semester, Academic year 2018 selected by the cluster random sampling system, namely, one class was drawn among classes. The instruments utilized were 1) the learning management plan of Health of grade 8 following active learning style with GPASS Model, 2) the testing form to assess grade 8 students’ outcomes with the reliability of 0.97, and 3) attitude testing paper to perceive students’ attitude towards studying Health under the learning management following active learning style with GPASS Model, with the reliability of 0.89. The statistic tools used to analyze the data were percentile, means, standard deviation and dependent t-test.
          The results of this research revealed that 1) the achievement of Health studying results of grade 8 students under active learning style with GPASS Model at the post-learning was higher than the pre-learning with the statistical significance of .05, 2) the progression of grade 8 students under active learning with GPASS Model was 40.10% higher than before as mentioned in the hypothesis, namely, higher than 25%, and 3) The level of grade 8 students’ attitude towards studying Health under active learning style with GPASS Model was at a “highest” level ( = 4.54, S.D. = 0.55).
