Abstract

          The purpose of the research was to study the drama in Panjol Mamuad Ritual Performance of Surin Province, using qualitative research methods, study information from documents, related study, sample interview, direct observation, and participation in Panjol Mamuad Ritual Performance. The tools for study were Record form of  In-depth interview, Record form of Direct observation, Recording device of still images, animations, and audio record. bringing the data to arrange in descriptive, analyzed, and present in thesis form. The study found that there are two types of drama : 1) Stories of Ritual Performance can be divided into 2 stages as follows: Stage 1 The steps of preparing the work starts from 1.1) Bol. 1.2) San Kamoj. 1.3) Prepare Sacrificial Offerings and Set the place for Ritual Performance. 1.4) Prepare the musical instruments for play. And 1.5) Place Sacrificial Offerings and the musical  instruments at the place for Ritual Performance. Stage 2 The process of patient treatment started from 2.1) Pay respect ritual to Music Teacher. 2.2) Pay respect to songwriter. 2.3) Pay respect ritual to Mamuad Teacher. 2.4) Pay respect to Mamuad. 2.5) Panjol Mamaud. 2.6) Hauplueng. And 2.7) Kajpaka Sapadan, total of 12 events. 2) Dance of Mamuad appearing in Stage 2 The process of patient treatment started from 2.1) Panjol Mamuad. 2.2) Hauplueng. And 2.3) Kajpaka Sapadan, total of 10 postures. Mamuad Dance using every part of      the body to perform. Although it was traditional southern northeast villagers,                 no pattern, in free styles of dance skill, but every manner having duty and meaning. During the dance, Mamuad obviously showed the emotions. Mamuad used the space to move the dance position to various points. Mamuad’s Dressing Style was in Surin Khmer folk style : Men’s Dressing Style was short sleeve round neck shirts, Sarong :      in Khmer was called “Sarong Proh” or “Hole Proh” tied in the waist and turbaned      the head with a loincloth, in Khmer was called “Sabai Proh”, Women’s Dressing Style was cylinder-sleeve round neck shirts, or skirt to cover the breasts, placed Sabai upon the shoulders, in Khmer was called “Shaund Lerk”, wearing “Pa Sin” ( women’s Sarong) or dressed in Sarong, in Khmer : “Hole Serei” or “Sarong Serei”. Musical instruments for treatment such as royal Thai musical instruments, five kinds of musical instruments, southern northeast of the Surin Khmer People: Kun Trum musical band, and folk northeast musical instruments, Kan. The result of study made the researchers find that Panjol Mamuad Ritual Performance is Drama ritual Performance that is a discovery of new knowledge of Drama, to support, conserve, and develop Panjol Mamuad Ritual Performance in Surin Province, Intangible Cultural Heritage of ancestors, to make      new generations aware of the value and maintain for Thai Society in the future.
