COMPARISION OF DEPRESSION AMONG FOUTH YEARS NURSING STUDENTS BETWEEN THAI AND INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS.

The purpose of this research was to studied, compared and found the factor related to depression between the 4th year nursing students between Thai programs of 120 students and 86 international programs. The research instruments consisted of 3 parts which were general information, the structure of the curriculum and the PHQ9 depression test were used. The statistics used in this study were average, standard deviation, percentage, and Independent T-test.
The result of the research shows that 206 the 4th years nursing students, consisting of 9 male males, representing 4.36%, females 197, accounting for 95.64%. The average age of 22 years is 196 people, accounting for 95.20%. The average in each aspect of the international program is higher than the Thai program, but the mean of the depression of the Thai program is higher than the international program. Both groups had very little depression. (The average is between 0.51-0.58) From the comparison of the results, it is found that the average of students, teaching, teaching process, and evaluation processes and desired competencies Both groups had different mean values of statistical significance at .05. The mean scores of curriculum content and depression were not a significant difference at .05. Found that the Thai program, student factors, and desired competencies were related to depression, while the international program found that the desired competencies were related to depression. That Thai program has depression 28 peoples of low to moderate levels, representing 23.30%, and 22 peoples of the international program with a low level of depression, equivalent to 25.58%
Suggestions for research
- There should be a study of depression every year to provide advice and help in time for the occurrence of the event.
- Curriculum evaluation should be done every year in order to continually improve and improve teaching and learning.
