DEVELOPMENT OF HEALTH TOURISM POTENTIAL IN EASTERN REGION AFTER COVID-19 PANDEMIC

This research aims to study and develop the Potential of Health Tourism in the Eastern Region. It was qualitative research, using surveys and a semi-structured interview to conduct in-depth interviews with stakeholders including Tourism and Sports Offices and Tourism business operators in 4 Eastern Provinces, totaling 30 people, collecting data from March to May 2022. This research uses TOWS analysis to find the development approach of Health Tourism in the Eastern Region after the COVID-19 Pandemic. As a result, the main resources in the Eastern Region can create diversity and differences with other Regions in Thailand. The guidelines for the development of the potential of Health tourism in the eastern region during the COVID-19 Pandemic consist of 3 aspects as follows: 1) Linking tourism products between Medical Tourism and Wellness Tourism, 2) Bringing more technology to Health Tourism such as medical consultations through telemedicine and 3) Creating an image and public relations such facilities standards and reliability of service
