FACTOR ANALYSIS OF DECISION MAKING TO FURTHER STUDY IN VOCATIONAL CERTICATE STUDENTS AT THE COLLEGE OF U-DONTHANI VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

Abstract

     This research objectives were to, 1) analyze factors affecting decision making to further study in Vocational Certificate students at the College of U-donThani Vocational Education and 2) study opinions of factors affecting decision making to further study in Vocational Certificate students at The College of U-donThani Vocational Education. Population used for the study are 7,424 current first to third year students, while sample size are 382 students. Tool for this research are questionnaires, analytical statistics using Exploratory Factor Analysis: EFA.
     The study shows that factors affecting decision to enter Vocational education at Uttaradit Technological College can be classified into 6 factors with variance of 69.50 %. From validity analysis of all 81 variables, the first factor is attitude and occupation of students. The second factor is college’s brand image, followed by the third factor which is public relation. While the fourth factor is family and related personnel. The fifth factor is course outline and the last sixth factor is execution. The study shows attitude and occupation of students has the highest variance, calculated out to be 13.33, meaning it has the highest significant. The opinions of factors affecting decision making to further study in Vocational Certificate students at The College of U-donThani Vocational Education in moderate level.
