THE PARTICIPATION OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN BAN NONJIG COMMUNITY, WATTANANAKORN DISTRICT, SA-KAEW PROVINCE

Abstract

The research was  “The Participation of Youth Development in Ban Nonjig Community, Wattananakorn District, Sa-kaew Province, Thailand” The objectives of this study were 1) to study the problem of youth in Ban Nonjig Community, Wattananakorn District, Sa-kaew Province, and 2) to study the participation of youth development in  Ban Nonjig Community, Wattananakorn District, Sa-kaew Province. The qualitative research method was used for this research. There were 95 participants such as students, teachers, parents and community leaders.

            The results of the study were found that the problems of youth in community are technology addiction, violence and drug. It also included the skipping class. Moreover, the results further revealed that the people in the community should join the responsibility through five processes. As such, the 1^st process was to break the ice by using activities. The 2^nd process was to create the perceptions from the stakeholder in community. The 3^rd process was to barnstorm from the stakeholder in community regarding to the youth’s cause and effect. The 4^th process was to barnstorm in order to find the solutions. The 5^th process was to organize the Youth Development committees.
