EFFECT OF INDUSTRIES ON QUALITY OF LIFE AMONG PEOPLE IN NAVA NAKORN INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, PATHUM THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purpose of a research was to investigate the effect of industries, quality of life among people in Nava Nakorn industrial estate, Pathum Thani province, related factors and predictors factors. The samples consisted of 252 people in Nava Nakorn industrial estate, Pathum Thani province. Data collections were accomplished with questionnaire and focus group. Data analysis were descriptive statistics, chi-square test, Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression analysis.

The results revealed that the overall effect of industries were most likely high level (70.6%). The aoverall of quality of life among people in Nava Nakorn industrial estate, Pathum Thani province was moderate level (63.5%). The 11 factors were significantly associated with an overall quality of life, namely, duration of time to livein this area, right to treatment, knowledge about the effects of industrics, families relationship, pollution prevention and social support. Furthemore, the 3 factors considerable predictors of overall of quality of life among people in Nava Nakorn industrial estate, Pathum Thani province were the pollution prevention, families relationship and social support, which accounted for 21% of the variance in the quality of life.

The findings lead to recommendations that government department for develop activities to people in Nava Nakorn industrial estate, Pathum Thani province, that all department, namely, people, government department and industrial to develop the quality of life among people. For example: supporting to active community culture and tradition or health government department has to check up of health for people around Nava Nakorn industrial estate, that  1 times for years
