THE RELATIONSHIPS AMONG BIG FIVE PERSONALITIES, WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PERCEIVED ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT TOWARDS THE INNOVATIVE WORK BEHAVIOR OF COMMERCIAL BANK STAFF

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study relationships between the big five personality, working environment and perceived organization support with innovation work behavior of commercial bank. There are 320 samples of operation staffs for two commercial banks and have research instruments consisting of the big five personality questionnaire, working environment questionnaire, perceived organization support questionnaire and the questionnaire of innovation work behavior. Data was analyzed by Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient, and multiple regression analysis.


Results found that the neuroticism, extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness correlated with innovation work behavior with statistical significance at .01 (r=-.289, r=.480, r=.223 and r=.500 respectively) working environment positively correlated with innovation work behavior with statistical significance at .01 (r=.607)  perceived organization support and innovation work behavior with statistical significance at the level at .01 (r=.662) and multiple regression analysis indicated that extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, working environment and perceived organization support were a significance predictors of innovation work behavior with a predictability 0f 55.1%.
