Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the change management based on the VUCA concept toward change acceptance among Generation X operational employees in the private sector in Bangkok, and 2) study the PDCA approach toward change acceptance among Generation X operational employees in the private sector in Bangkok. Data were collected from 400 Generation X operational employees using a closed-ended questionnaire. The content validity of the instrument was verified by experts, with values ranging from 0.67 to 1.00, and the reliability coefficient was 0.931. Descriptive statistics, including percentages, were used to analyze the data, while inferential statistics were conducted using multiple regression analysis at a significance level of 0.05. The results revealed that: (1) change management based on the VUCA concept had an overall influence of 17.50% on employees’ acceptance of change; and (2) the PDCA systematic approach had an overall influence of 32.30% on employees’ acceptance of change, both statistically significant at the 0.05 level. In addition, the research findings can be used as a guideline for executives and policymakers in designing human resource management strategies that align with contemporary challenges. They can also serve as baseline data for future studies on other factors influencing the acceptance of change among employees of different age groups.
