Development of a Computer-Assisted Instruction Lesson on Using Paint Program to Enhance Learning Achievement of Prathom Suksa 2–3 Students

This research aims to (1) develop a computer-assisted instruction (CAI) lesson on using Paint program tools for 2nd and 3rd-grade students to meet the 80/80 efficiency criteria, (2) compare the learning achievement on using Paint program tools before and after learning with the CAI lesson, and (3) study the students' satisfaction with the CAI lesson. The research sample consists of 17 students from the 2nd and 3rd grades at Ban Nong Hoi School, using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research instruments include the CAI lesson, learning achievement tests, and student satisfaction questionnaires. The research findings indicate that (1) the developed computer-assisted instruction lesson has an effectiveness score of 80.24/86.47, which exceeds the established criteria, (2) students' academic performance after the lesson is significantly higher than before the lesson, and (3) students' satisfaction with the computer-assisted instruction lesson is at a high level. The developed lesson is, therefore, effective in promoting knowledge and skills in using the Paint program, as well as students' interest in learning. It can be appropriately applied in learner-centered education contexts in other settings.
