Development of Word Spelling Abilities in Thai Language By Using HALO Model Learning Management for Prathomsuksa I Students

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the word spelling writing abilities in Thai Language by using HALO Model Learning Management for Prathomsuksa 2 students 2) to compare the students’ achievement before and after using HALO Model Learning Management. Samples used in this study included 30 Prathomsuksa 2 students who studied at classroom 2/2 of Demonstration School Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, in the first semester of academic year 2020, gained by the cluster sampling. The research tools were the 3 word spelling Writing Drills and the word spelling writing achievement test of multiple choices with 30 items. The test difficulty indices ranged from .46 to .64, the discrimination indices ranged from .22 to .41, and the reliability value was .92, The collected data were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, and t – test.
The research findings were as follows :
- 1. The word spelling writing abilities in Thai Language by using HALO Model Learning Management for Prathomsuksa 2 Students were found in the criteria of 80 each all drills.
- 2. The word spelling writing abilities after using HALO Model Learning Management for Prathomsuksa 2 Students was statistically higher than that before using the model with the statistical significant at .05 level.
