Main Article Content
Abstract
This research’s objective was to study the effect of the use of the speech teaching cycle on the quality of speech. The population was 62 second-year students majoring in English, Faculty of Education and Human Development, Sisaket Rajabhat University. The speaking test and speaking quality assessment form were used for data analysis to determine the mean and standard deviation. The results suggest that the use of the speaking teaching cycle to manage teaching and learning has a good effect on the quality of speech in all aspects. The average value was 3.53, the standard deviation was 0.70, and the quality of speaking to express opinions on a given topic was at a good level because this cycle gave learners the opportunity to prepare both the learner himself and the input data to be used in speaking, such as vocabulary and sentence structure. This allows learners to understand the workload. In addition, the speech training process emphasizes skills and tactics, and reflection on learning also helps learners improve their speaking skills.
