Abstract

This research aims to: 1) study literature and research related to digital technology and 21st century learning, and 2) analyze and synthesize the components of digital technology and 21st century learning. The researcher employed a content analysis approach by examining literature and research related to digital technology and 21st century learning to analyze and synthesize components from theoretical concepts of scholars and related research. The findings revealed that digital technology and 21st century learning are divided into two main components: 1) digital technology and 2) 21st century learning. Digital technology comprises two sub-components: 1) digital infrastructure and 2) emerging technology. 21st century learning consists of two components: 1) digital skills, which are further divided into two sub-components comprising (1) technology use and (2) digital technology devices, and 2) digital literacy, which includes digital intelligence as a sub-component. This research emphasizes the integration of technology into the learning process by creating connections between technology and learning to enable student teachers in professional practice to develop knowledge and skills for enhancing their potential and application in educational contexts.
