The Development Academic Administration Model by using Project-Based for Enhancement the Creative Thinking Capability and Team Work of Tessaban 1 School (Bansanmueangmoon)

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) examine the problems and needs associated with developing an academic affairs management model based on project-based learning to enhance students' creative thinking and teamwork competencies, 2) develop the model, 3) implement and evaluate its trial use, and 4) assess the model's overall utility and feasibility. Participants comprised 116 teachers, parents, and members of the basic education institution committee, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using six instruments: a five-point rating-scale questionnaire (overall reliability = 0.82; item-level reliability > 0.70), focus group discussions, best-practice interviews, workshops, an expert-opinion questionnaire, and an implementation evaluation questionnaire. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. The results showed that the overall problems and needs were rated at a high level ( X = 4.27, S.D. = 0.21). The most critical issues were the lack of expert involvement in curriculum evaluation, students' excessive mobile phone use at home, and parents' limited knowledge of learning support and assessment practices, along with insufficient diversity in instructional technology (X = 4.28, S.D. = 0.52). The resulting model comprised three components—inputs, process, and outputs. Trial implementation revealed that administrators' capacity to apply the model was rated highly ( X = 4.40, S.D. = 0.27), as were outcomes for teachers ( X = 4.63, S.D. = 0.51), teachers' satisfaction with student learning ( X = 4.32, S.D = 0.21), community impact ( X = 4.38, S.D. = 0.22), and students' creative thinking and teamwork competencies for the 2024 academic year ( X = 4.32, S.D. = 0.22). Expert evaluation confirmed that the model demonstrated high utility and feasibility ( X = 4.32, S.D. = 0.22). These findings suggest that the developed model is a practical and effective approach for enhancing academic affairs management, offering implications for school administrators seeking to foster students' creative thinking and teamwork competencies through project-based learning.
