The Strategic Leadership of Graduate Students in the Master of Education Program in Educational Administration, Ubon Ratchathani University

Abstract

This research aimed to study the components of strategic leadership among graduate students in the Master of Education Program in Educational Administration at Ubon Ratchathani University, and to examine the appropriateness of these components. The research population consisted of related documents and previous studies, as well as nine experts who evaluated the appropriateness of the strategic leadership components. The research instrument was a checklist used to assess the suitability of six components of strategic leadership: strategic vision formulation, environmental and contextual analysis, strategic decision-making, human resource and capability management, strategy implementation and teamwork, and monitoring, evaluation, and strategic adjustment. Data were analyzed using basic statistics, including percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings revealed that: 1) Strategic leadership among graduate students in the Master of Education: Program in Educational Administration at Ubon Ratchathani University consists of six components: strategic vision formulation, environmental and contextual analysis, strategic decision-making, human resource and capability management, strategy implementation and teamwork, and monitoring, evaluation, and strategic adjustment; and 2) The overall appropriateness of the strategic leadership components was rated at the highest level. The mean scores, ranked from highest to lowest, were as follows: strategic vision formulation, environmental and contextual analysis, strategic decision-making, human resource and capability management, strategy implementation and teamwork, and monitoring, evaluation, and strategic adjustment.
