The Royal Factory No. 3 in Sakon Nakhon Province represents an integrated rural development initiative under the Royal Projects. Its primary objectives include enhancing the livelihoods of local communities through promoting agro-industry systems, such as cultivating tomatoes and other cash crops, while adding value through agricultural product processing. The factory also serves as a model for rural human resource development by encouraging farmer groups and establishing community enterprises grounded in the sufficiency economy philosophy. In subsequent years, the factory transitioned and transformed to be the Doi Kham Food Products Co., Ltd., aimed at improving business for profit and management capabilities. However, the initiative has generated positive impacts across economic, social, and environmental dimensions by increasing farmers' incomes, reducing labor migration, and promoting safe and organic farming practices which are the key directions for the future of sustainable agriculture.
