The Volunteer Spirit Knowledge, Attitude, and Behavior After Project-Based Learning Experience

Abstract

This research article was a part of the volunteer spirit   knowledge, attitude, and behavior after project-based learning experience research.  The purpose of this study were to 1) study the knowledge, attitude, and behavior of Bachelor of Nursing Students’volunteer after project-based learning in the integrated courses of the General Education, and 2) lesson learned from the project-based learning experiences among the Bachelor Nursing Students in integrated courses of the General Education. This study was the survey research design. The population and samples were 120 of the first year nursing students at Borommarajonnani College of Nursing, Saraburi. The research instruments were 1) the volunteer knowledge, attitude, and behavior questionnaire, the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was .90, and 2) The reflective thinking record. The data was analyzed by using statistic package included percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The result revealed that;

1. The volunteer knowledge, attitude, and behavior of nursing students after project-based learning were at the high level.
2. The lesson learned found that the students were willing and full of volunteer activities. They were delight in the mind and happy after they completed their work, even though they tired and had to work with the waste things. The reflective quote was “The volunteer activities led me to learn more about myself and others. I learned to help each other and the last thing was happiness in my heart.
