Abstract

ABSTRACT

This research article is part of the thesis on The Comparative Quality of the Elderly Life with Personal and Family Factors in Phetchabun Province. The purposes of this research were to study the level of elderly’s life quality, compare among the quality of life of the elderly ,individual and family factors, study guidelines to develop elderly’s life quality. The research methodology is a survey research method. Two population groups were studied, which were namely the elderly group and staff group.    The research instruments were questionnaires and interview forms. Statistics for data analysis were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test and one way analysis of variance. The results showed that (1) The overall quality of life of the elderly , good physical condition, self-determination, social integration, interpersonal relationship, good emotional state were at a high level. (2) The elderly with different sexes had no difference in overall quality of life. Moreover, the elderly had different ages, education, income and marital status, therefore the overall quality of life were different. Each other significantly statistically significant at the 0.05 level. (3) The guidelines for improving the quality of life of the elderly in 6 aspects: 1) good living conditions 2) good physical condition 3) self-determination 4) social integration 5) Interpersonal relationship 6) good emotional state.
