Monks and thai politics in the current social context

Abstract

This article has an objective to study the political expression of the Thai monks by using studies from related research papers to the principles of conduct of monks in Buddhism and current political events in the expression of political views of the Thai monks About banning the monks from engaging in politics Including the freedom of choice in their own political life. The Supreme Sangha Council has clearly issued a regulation prohibiting that Not allowing monks and novices in the Thai Sangha to move to make political demands but in practice it appears that when political conflicts arise, there is always an involvement of the Sangha. Therefore, the prohibition of expression is contradicting the principles and facts of the historical political evidence of the past. The monks' political activism criticized the suitability and role that the monks should be. Is politics a monastic affair? There is no answer yet, because both sides are supportive and sound reasonable on both sides. And to make society as a whole There is no division of the party. Or class, caste, nation, religion and protect the rights of the general public to be fair.
