INFLUENCE OF THE MEDIA ON PEOPLE’S POLITICAL PARTICIPATION IN KUDCHIK SUB-DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, SUNG NOEN DISTRICT, NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

               The objectives of this research are; To study opinions To compare opinions and to study problems Recommendations of the public on the influence of the media on Affecting political participation of people in Kudjik Sub-District Municipality, Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Research is a mixed method. A sample of 338 people collected data by distributing questionnaires. The statistics used in this research were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. And qualitative research methods, In-depth interviews were performed by seven key informants or data analysts using descriptive content analysis techniques.

             Findings were as follows:

1. Level of Media Influence on Political Participation of People in Kudjik Sub-District Municipality, Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Overall was at a moderate level. When classified by each side, it was found that in the use of the right to vote Election campaign and the political demonstrations were at a moderate level.
2. The results of opinion comparison were that people with different education level, occupation and monthly income had different opinions on the media influence affecting people’s political participation at statistically significant level at 0.05, accepting the set hypothesis.
3. Problems, obstacles and suggestions suggest that the state should provide a forum for applicants to express their vision and policy. There is a service point for public relations on how to exercise the electoral rights. And give youth the opportunity to carry out political activities with rights and freedoms.
