The Policy Making of Thai Political Parties according to the Constitution B.E.2560

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) To study and analyze the general condition and problems and obstacles related to policy formulation of Thai political parties. 2) To study the policy-making mechanisms of Thai political parties. 3) To present the development of policy-defining mechanisms of Thai political parties. It is a qualitative research. 25 key informants and 11 focus group discussions or persons, and data were analyzed using descriptive content analysis techniques.

Findings were as follows: 1) The general condition and obstacles related to policy formulation of the Thai political party are complex factors. And more diversified especially for reasons based on social movements. Outside politics rather than relying on the leaders and leaders within the party. 2) Policy setting mechanisms of Thai political parties.
