The Development of Self-Reliant Community Welfare Management of the Saving Group for Production Model in the Lower Central Region 1

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study the situation of the self-reliant and best practice in community welfare management of the Saving Group for Production 2) develop the model of self-reliant community welfare management of the Saving Group for Production               3) try out the model of  self-reliant community welfare management of the Saving Group for Production 4) evaluate and improve the model of self-reliant community welfare management  of the Saving Group for Production in the Lower Central Region 1

The research and development methodologies was applied. The research consisted of 4 steps. Step 1 was to study the situation of the self-reliant and best practice in community welfare management of the Saving Group for Production from a total of 30 key informants from three groups of the committee and members with purposive sampling. The research tools to collect the data were the in-depth interview and focus group. Step 2 Design and development of the model with certification from 5 experts. Research tools used as a questionnaire data analysis using a packaged program, statistics used, mean and standard deviation. Step 3 was to try out the developed model with the target group 30 members of Ban Nong- Matum of the Saving Group for Production. Research tools used test ,community forum, Data analysis using a packaged program, statistics used mean and standard deviation, t-value and content analysis. And step 4 was to evaluate and improve the model, in which the target group was 30 people, using the satisfaction questionnaire , lesson learned ,Data were analyzed with mean and standard deviation and content analysis method.

The research results demonstrated that: 

1. Situations results that people in the community have a close relationship. They have joint savings so that they have funds for occupation and spending when they are sick or other important case. Best Practices in community welfare management of the Saving Group for Production. Committees and members have knowledge and understanding How to management of the savings group for production, People are encouraged to save money to help themselves by saving and using virtue. Community welfare management of the Saving Group for Production from saving money and sharing it with people who need capital to pursue a career then have a group profits for provide welfare. The best welfare should allow everyone to participate by agreeing to the rules and using them together from the needs of people in the community.
2. The “TONMAI Model” was obtained as a result of the development of the model of self-reliant community welfare management of the Saving Group for Production Model in the Lower Central Region 1. The sub-components of the model were T – Trust, O – Opportunities, N – Networking, M – Management, A – Activity, and I – Impression. The model was agreed and verified by the experts.
3. Results of the model experiment The participants who received the training had higher knowledge after the training than before the training with statistical significance at the .05 and community forum with members of the Saving Group for Production
4. The results of the assessment showed the overall satisfaction of the experimental group towards the model at a high level. and results of lesson learned was found that the savings for production group had an important goal in developing people in the community to live their lives. And learning to work together in a “group process” and use “Saving Truth” was a tool to create discipline in savings for members to develop economy of community. Sharing

the profits of  of the Saving Group for Production to share and help in community welfare that will be taken care of from birth, to illness, death, education. It is for the public benefit of the community or community temple.

People is poor with money but  rich to sharing and kindness with self-reliant in community
