Learning management by using a boyscout problem based learning according to the four noble truth to develop discipline of 3rd secondary students watyaichaimongkol school (bavanarangsi) ayuthaya

Abstract

The study entitled “Problem-based Learning Activity Management in the Subject of Scouting According to Ariyasacca to develop the discipline of the 3^rd secondary school students, Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon School (Bhavana Rangsi), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province” consisted of the following objectives: 1) to investigate the general conditions of problem-based learning activity management in the subject of scouting according to Ariyasacca to develop the discipline of the 3^rd secondary school students, Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon School (Bhavana Rangsi), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; 2) to explore the problem-based learning activity management in the subject of scouting according to Ariyasacca to develop the discipline of the 3^rd secondary school students, Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon School (Bhavana Rangsi), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province; and 3) to present the problem-based learning activity management in the subject of scouting according to Ariyasacca to develop the discipline of the 3^rd secondary school students, Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon School (Bhavana Rangsi), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The qualitative tool involved in-depth interview with 9 lecturers of Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon School (Bhavana Rangsi), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, who were chosen by purposive sampling.

From the study, the following results are found:

1) From investigating the general conditions of problem-based learning activity management in the subject of scouting according to Ariyasacca to develop the discipline of the 3^rd secondary school students, the study found that the learning activities of scouting involve the following nine aspects: orientation, pioneering, interpreting, civic duties, leadership, nature conservation, meteorologist, quartermaster, and theory test.

2) Learning activity management in the subject of scouting according to Ariyasacca reveals the problem-solving approach, which is a process of systematic and rational thinking that consists of the following stages: (1) Dukkha referring to problem; (2) Samudaya referring to causes of the problem; (3) Nirodha referring to experiment and collecting information; and (4) Magga referring to analysis and summary.

3) The problem-based learning activity management in the subject of scouting according to Ariyasacca to develop the discipline of the 3^rd secondary school students include the following nine practices as the heart of scouting: active, progressive, spending the time wisely, no cruelty, doing good deeds, pleasantly working, purifying the mind, and leading one's life to success.
