COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACCORDING TO THE SUFFICIENCY ECONOMY PHILOSOPHY OF COMMUNITIESIN PHIMAN SUB-DISTRICT, NAGAE DISTRICT, NAKHON PHANOM PROVINCE

Abstract

This objectives of this study are consisted of: 1). to study community economic development according to the sufficiency economy philosophy of communities in Phiman Sub-district, Nagae District, Nakhon Phanom Province, 2). to study the factors conducive to community success in community economic development according to the philosophy of sufficiency economy of communities in Phiman Sub-district, Nakae District, Nakhon Phanom Province, and 3). to analyze community economic development and poverty alleviation according to the sufficiency economy philosophy of communities in Phiman Sub-district, Nagae District, Nakhon Phanom Province. Qualitative research was carried out in this study. The informal were 12 local administrators and related persons. The tools used in the research were in-depth interviews and content analysis was employed for data analysis.

The results of the research found that:

1. Community economic development according to the sufficiency economy philosophy of communities in Phiman Sub-district, Nagae District, Nakhon Phanom Province has adhered to five development principles, consisting of principle of moderation, rational principle, the principle of good immunity, principle of knowledge, and principle of morality. The community leaders and people in the community integrate these principles to develop the community to its full potential.
2. Community success factors consisted of internal factors such as personnel, budget, allocation, management process, various resources and technology and innovation; external factors include social, technological, economic and political aspects and support from various agencies.

3. Analysis of community economic development and poverty alleviation according to the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy revealed that the community relies on four elements to manage so that the community can develop with full efficiency, namely; planning, implementation, assessment, check, and improvement and development
