THE RESULTS OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING THAT AFFECT 21st CENTURY LEARNING SKILLS OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS, PRINCE OF SONGKLA UNIVERSITY, SURAT THANI CAMPUS

Abstract

This purposes of this research were 1) Study the effect of project-based learning on 21st century learning skills of undergraduate students at Prince of Songkla University, Surat Thani Campus, 2) Compare academic achievement before and after project-based learning, and 3) Study student satisfaction in project-based learning. The sample consisted of 103 first-year undergraduate students at Prince of Songkla University, Surat Thani Campus who enrolled in the Business and Management Principles course and the Business Introduction and Business Ethics course. Simple random sampling was used by random drawing without return. The research instruments were
1) Lesson plans, 2) Tests, 3) Questionnaires, and 4) Satisfaction assessment forms. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and multiple regression analysis. The research results found that 1) Project-based learning in the planning, implementation, conclusion, and presentation stages and the evaluation results significantly affected the 21st century learning skills of the students at the statistical level of 0.05. 2) The students had higher academic achievement after studying than before studying at the statistical level of .05. and 3) The students were most satisfied with the project-based learning activities (Mean = 4.278, S.D. = 0.433). The issues that the students were most satisfied with were practicing working with others, communication skills, self-research skills, having a creative thinking process, and being able to apply it to learning in other subjects.
