A DEVELOPMENT MODEL FOR DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY COMPETENCY OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE DISRUPTIVE ERA UNDER PATHUM THANI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract

The purpose of this research paper is to study the digital technology competency components of school administrators in the changing era. Create a model for developing competencies in digital technology and evaluate models for developing competencies in digital technology. It is an integrated research. The sample group includes 169 school directors. The key informants include 17 experts in creating a digital technology competency development model using the Delphi technique, includes five strategic aspects evaluating the digital technology competency development model. The tools used in the research include questionnaires, interviews, and assessments, and data were collected with questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and assessments. The results show that the digital technology competency component of school administrators in the era of change is generally at a high level of practice. The creation of a model for developing competencies in digital technology consists of 2 components as follows: 1) The digital technology competency of school administrators consists of 5 aspects: 1.1) knowledge and understanding of the use of digital technology, 1.2) media creation and digital technology innovation, 1.3) digital network building for learning, 1.4) solving problems with digital technology, and 1.5) ethics and safety in digital use, 2) The approach to developing digital technology competencies consists of 5 aspects: 2.1) vision, 2.2) strategic thinking, 2.3) potential to bring about change, 2.4) initiative, creativity, and 2.5) the use of digital technology for communication, and 3) The results of the evaluation of the digital technology competency development model are appropriate and feasible at the highest level.
