A STUDY OF THE COMPONENTS OF COLLABORATIVE NETWORK DEVELOPMENT AMONG VOCATIONAL EDUCATION ADMINISTRATORS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION COMMISSION

Abstract
This research article aimed to investigate the components of collaboration network development of vocational education administrators. The study employed a mixed methods research design and was conducted in three phases. Phase 1 involved the study of the components of collaboration network development of vocational education administrators through a systematic review of related documents, theories, and research studies from 10 selected sources. Phase 2 involved interviews with five experts to verify the appropriateness and consistency of the components synthesized from the documents. and Phase 3 involved the evaluation of the appropriateness and feasibility of the components by five experts. The research instruments consisted of a document synthesis form, a semi-structured interview form, and a five-point rating scale questionnaire. All research instruments were examined for content validity by five experts, yielding an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) of 1.00. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean, percentage, and standard deviation. The findings from the document synthesis revealed that the components of collaboration network development consisted of five dimensions:
1) Network participation, 2) Communication and interaction, 3) Leadership of network coordinators, 4) Evaluation and improvement, and 5) Network membership determination. The interview results indicated that all five components were appropriate and consistent with the current context of vocational education administration. The evaluation results showed that the overall appropriateness of the collaboration network development components was at the highest level ( = 4.69, S.D. = 0.45), and the feasibility was also at the highest level (
= 4.72, S.D. = 0.42). The findings reflected that the developed collaboration network components could serve as practical guidelines for strengthening collaboration networks in vocational education institutions in order to enhance educational quality and workforce development in response to the needs of the industrial sector.
